Yes, as we exist today.

maybe...maybe not.

there are creatures on this planet that were here millions of years ago. they didn't need to change, as they were able to adapt to their new environment.

if humans are able to adapt, then there wouldn't be a need for them to evolve.

And thank you for asking a question that I had not seen in R&S before. That was a refreshing change!

Evolution is continuous, but the type of dramatic evolution that you are talking about is only brought about when the very existence of the Human species as a whole is threatened to be extinct. Only then would a vast change occur within the genotype and phenotype of humans.

For example, if the world were flooded, and people had to constantly climb up and jump distances between trees to survive, then evenually the folds of skin between peoples' arms would grow enough for people to glide from one tree to the next and this trait could be passed to the offspring as well.

Well, even without evolution, we're all going to die, especially when the planet is finally destroyed.

Evolution only, possibly. We could find oursleves with something better than a human at surviving a human lifestyle, that we won't kill due to societal influences, which could decide to remove us.

That's an interesting question - "When is it not a human anymore?" There's not exactly a clear line we can draw in the past, saying 'human after this point, anthropoid ape before', although I imagine more information might be forthcoming.

Technically, we'll just warp beyond the point of recognition, but we'll never truely disapear. I guess =/ because the newly evolved race would continue to be called "human". That's my best guess. Good question btw.

I don't think we will be around long enough to warp to the point beyond recognition. But I think we may be a little different. I suspect the Sun to die out before we turn into grey aliens or anything though ;)

As we exist today? I'd imagine that's a logical assumption yes.

Most likely, yes. There isn't a lot of pressure for us to change, so it will be slow. But it will eventually happen.

Yes. Whether or not we are an evolutionary dead end, we will some day not exist.

This is because our Earth will someday be uninhabitable, and our sun will be dead.

Evolution is a false religion. It is a myth.
