i know really good people that dont believe in god, even standing next to an orthodox christian, they can make a great comedy duo. But why would you be so closed minded and make yourself look bad? you know, you are 2-dimensional on the internet, people only see what you write.

and i also wonder, are there more non believers that believers in this category?

Yes they do and they do it as much as stubbornly religious people annoy me......I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that I am very religious when I am home or in the religious surroundings...but everywhere I am just a human being and I think about each and every person in the same way, be him a Hindu, Muslim, Christian or an Atheist.....they all are human in my opinion so we all should respect each and every body's feelings.

The same reason "Christians" do. You apparently don't believe that "Christians" couldn't, or don't, write anything to make themselves "look bad". Why are 'religious people' so closed-minded to even consider that what they believe may not be correct? An open mind means that every point of view is considered and, on some level, that it may actually be correct. To say, "MY way is the only way..." is pretty arrogant and narrow-minded, IMHO.

Many people are not open-minded enough to understand that everything is a choice, what you wear, how you talk, where you go, whether to get angry when someone says something you don't like and in what you believe.

Those toting the Bible and calling others sinners don't mean that these same persons are getting God's grace. They are nothing more than exhibitionists acting like maniacs! One is only a true Christian who goes all out to help those in most need of assistance. Jesus has always been the greatest model for showing that He has never shunned those in need. Jesus has never led anyone to commit suicide or arouse anyone to murder or kill. Real religious people don't have need to prove they are religious. Those with guilty conscience need to justify their religious appeal in public places. Always remember that it's usually the empty vessels that make the most noise.

And things happen when God wills, not as men would will. Falwell prayed for 20 more years to administer his faith. God gave him just a few months! His moral convictions and desires failed him! His prayers went unanswered.

Why are YOU so close minded about their beliefs? Don't YOU realize it makes you look bad, callous, insensitive, and above all, stubborn and annoying by thinking and acting like all should believe as you do?

As you said, people only see what you write on here - people surely aren't seeing much positive about you from this question.

You say they are really good people, but then you make it clear that you really don't think so, because they are not a part of your religion. Do you see the paradox? How it can't be both ways? You either find them good and worthy people or you don't - and based on your criteria of belief, they aren't good people. Do they know you think of them that way?

they only people I truly find annoying are the ones who cannot accpet responsibility for their actions, and the purposefully ignorant.

Try knowing the person for who they are, not what they believe. Then you might actually believe they are truly good people.

The non believers like to come and comment to put us down, to make us feel wrong in what we believe. Most people can be them selves when no one is staring them in the face. Only a few people really keep it real. We need to get the Christians on here, I have spoken to my church about this site and how the ungodly and rude comments that they make. They mock God,,well son they mock themselves cause in the end, We know the truth, they are lost..

Fundies of any faith (or lack there of) peeve me off. It's the know it all, self righteous, arrogant, pompous and deluded BS attitude they force down my throat that turns me off. It's no different than the Fundy Christians screaming hell and damnation if you disagree with their interpretation of 'Christian'. Just because someone doesn't kiss a god's butt doesn't make them immune from being a jerk.

As for me, I'm a believer. Decidedly non traditional religion though, with very non Zoroastrian views on the universe.

No, because stubbornly unreligious people don't have the weight of massive organizations behind them.

This is something that I have wondered about, just what is a non-believer?

Gee guys, I am serious. Is this a non Christian thing? Aren't you a believer (of sorts) if you believe in Buddha for example?
If you mean non Christian why not say non Christian.
