The Kyoto Protocol was a total flop. 36 countries signed it and only 2 are meeting standards ( UK and Sweden ) some have increased their emissions as much as 25% plus.

Btw the USA lowered their emissions regardless of not being involvedin Kyoto.

One of the biggest mistakes was giving a pass to developing countries. 16 of the worlds worst polluted cities are in China for instance. and there is 2 or 3 in India. No one asked them to sign Kyoto.

Carbon credits are an idiots invention. rich countries can by off their irresponsibility and poor countries will have reduced growth potential.

And the current USA administration has proposed a better plan actually and congress hasnt approved it yet to my knowledge. So so much for your assumptions.

it particularly is a waste of time and cash to enforce. 3 of the international's greatest emission offenders have not signed the contract and that they make up over a million/2 of the international's inhabitants. easily, below the present words you will choose one a million/2 of the international spending megabucks attempting to cut back emissions mutually as the different a million/2 is making no attempt and persevering with to characteristic emissions to our environment.

The thing is that Europe has to lead in this area, as the US (with the current administration) will not even acknowledge there is a problem
