sounds like it may be angina. or the chest muscle like your upper diaphragm or pectoralis muscle cramping... everytime you inhale or breathe deep for a full breath it gets sharper right??? There is nothing wrong with a second pinion or a third. try eating banannas and drinking more water this helped me.

These left chest pains might be caused by some anxiety.reaction. However, i would certainly go see an Internist to be sure. Esp if there is accompanying shortness of breath . Try to document or keep a diary when this chest pains occur and the severity of the pain as well as if it's also acccompanied by nausea and vomiting. Do the chest pains come about during exertion like basketball practice or just when you have a panic attack.?

I'm a professional nurse and I have had a mild heart attack, an M I. Stress can further exacerbate your fear and anxiety. The more anxious you get, the more the chest pains might get. So make sure you tell the doctor exactly how long has this been going on. And he would want to know if you have any other sym;ptoms. So try to go and see a doctor preferably an internit or cardiologist He might order an EKG and some other tests.

Since you still play basketball in school; most likely, you are young. Therefore it's not a heart attack. if you have no prior cardiac history. Sometimes heartburn can be mistaken for chest pains. Another thing to consider. is chest colds.

Breath is life. Because it influences every body function you can pretty well bet that poor breathing is contributing to or causing chest pain You breathe 10-30 thousand times daily. Your heart requires oxygen and can spasm if there is too short a supply. Shallow respiration is a major cause of heart conditions due to the heart's constant need for oxygen.

If the breathing is out of balance it causes major stress, thickening and alkalizing the blood. When the blood is too alkaline, every healthy biochemical reaction is compromised

Breathing pattern disorders might cause chest pains.
Because most people under or shallow breathe, . You can most often relieve considerable cause of this kind of chest pain thru breathing exercises and other relaxation technique.

In the majority of people with hyperventilation, chest pain is due to over-breathing, and over-inflation of the lungs.

A person may experience chest pain even if heart illnesses have been ruled out. Non-cardiac chest pain can be the result of muscle spasms, onset of shingles (painful condition of the sensory nerves), or different types of neuralgia or nerve irritation (causes a band of pain radiating from the spine to the front of the chest or other areas). Those with osteoporosis may develop compression fractures of the spine which can cause chest pain as well. Chest pain and reflux are often related with poor digestion being the culprit

Hi Armen
Yes, anxiety can certainly cause chest pains, especially panic attacks. But Armen, there are many things that can cause chest pain that are not heart related. Not needed to think about diseases, you should remove this from your head.

Basketball is very good , I likes this play.

If you a sure your problem is an anxiety disorder, the following supplements may be of help, and often have fewer side effects than commercial pharmaceutical products. Please look article: http://www.askedweb.com/askedweb/Did_You_Treat_Your_Anxiety_Today/

And important have your talk with parents, and I would recommend a thorough examination by your doctor.
I hope Armen you find your answer soon.
