I've got two big speakers kenwood, that a friend had on his car and sounded great, but he had a leak on his trunk, gave away the car, and i kept the speakers, conected to my sound system and sound GREAT. However, because of the leak they have mold, and I'm afraid to keep them that way, and if I rebuilt the box they're not going to match anymore. So, my other option is to build a new set, but i know a speaker is not just a box, it should be wel calculated or will not have the more from the speakers... or make a good bass for my system to help the surround better. Any ideas?

So the box has mold but the speakers are good? Is that right?

If so, and you are handy with tools, then why don't you just duplicate the enclosure? Take all the measurements, look at how the box is built. If it is ported (big hole with short tube) make sure you duplicate the porting exactly, and transfer all the electronics over. If you do it properly it should pretty much be the same.

Try to find the manufacturer specs for the box, or even just measure the box surrounding the speaker. you'll need to buy mdf wood ,IMO, because it is very strong and also will seal you speaker much better. Just get a jigsaw to cut the center out for the speaker, and bolt it right in, also dont forget to drill a small hole to run the speaker wire through, i recommend to fill the whole with silicone when your done as well. I've rebuild dozens of speaker boxes, just max sure you get some good wood screws, silicone both the speaker wire hole and all the seams of the inside of the box and you should be fine.

As far as i know you have to check the device manager which is somewhere in the control panel or you can right click on the my computer symbol are go to properties. Then check that none of the things have a yellow ! on them if they do click on them and download settings. If this dose not work you may try going to the HP website and downloading the software from there....if its one of their monitors they should have the download for it. Also note if you are using Vista as your operating system the download from the HP site may not work properly. Hope this heaps for you.
