I have a cat that is about 8 months old and pregnant. It seems like she is afually big and longer than 63 days since she got knocked up. I was just wondering if somethig be wrong or if there is anyway to make her go into labor??

It's pretty rare for cat's to have complications, but they do happen. 63 days is average, but they can go a few days earlier or later. If she seems comfortable, just let her be. If she goes into labor, you will see her pushing very hard. If no kitten is produced within 1.5-2 hours, there could be trouble and you need to go to a vet. She is awfully young to be having a first litter, but they can do OK. Please check with your vet about deworming and caring for the kittens!

Animals are like people in the sense that generally mother nature knows best. My cat always seemed to be pregnant for longer than the average but always managed to have the cutest, healthiest kittens (right about the time I was convinced something was wrong). If she seems to be having trouble more than the average waddle or occasionally panting to breathe you may want to call the local vets office and ask them some questions and then consider taking her in.

You can take her to a vet, however, i would suggest to wait till time comes. It is her first time, so she seems big to you. If something would be wrong she would act different as not eating or playing or being cheerful cat.

Just let mother nature take it's turns. When she's ready, she'll want to go into a closet or under a bed. If she is acting and eating fine, leave her alone. She'll have those babies when it's time
