what is the specific name of this style? I think it starts with the P. Any good pics so I can try the style and get it perfect?..

I think what you probably mean is called a chignon:

It can be worn at any height on the head, low like that picture or up higher like this one:

You can also accessorize this style with lots of different things, for my prom, I got my local florist to make a little ring of flowers to fit around my bun. It looked really special and unique -- no one else had it!
