Actually, they're NOT the sons of God but the sons of the 'ĕlôhîym. The Hebrew word 'ĕlôhîym means gods. Plural.
I don't expect you to buy that statement without proof. I recently wrote a short article concerning the existence of other gods and used it in another answer here on Y!A. If you're interested in reading it you can find it at:

I'm not including it here because, as a whole, that answer doesn't address your question.

The difference is that Yeshua (Jesus) was the Son of Yhovah (Jehovah) and the angels, both good and bad (devils...the word demon doesn't appear in the bible) are the sons of the gods.

Think of the gods as a family . One of the family members is named Yhovah, another is Baal and yet another is Ashtoreth...and there are more. This family created angels and called them their sons. When Mary gave bith to Yeshua, He was Yhovah's only BEGOTTEN son, meaning He was the only one born, not created..

In every case where angels, good or bad, are mentioned in the OT as being sons of God, the corresponding Hebrew word is 'ĕlôhîym. In the NT, Judaism had become a monotheistic religion and they only had one word for God: theos. So, in the NT Jeshua is referred to as the Son of God and the angel are considered sons of God.

They were angels of God before they followed Lucifer's lead in rebelling God. Then they were demons who no longer are of God, but are against God. When the demons had sex with women, this resulted in people that too were against God, which is why Noah and his family were the only ones on earth that were not evil and were kept from the wrath of God (the flood). This type of thing will again happen in the future when the christians are kept from the wrath of God with Jesus taking them to Heaven (The Rapture). The unbelievers left behind will suffer the wrath of God thru Judgments, not a flood. As the Word of God says of the times of the end will be as like the Days of Noah......This future I believe is near. The people in Noah's day thought Noah was crazy just like the unbelievers reading this ----look what happened to them!!! Just thought I'd give ya something to really think about. God bless the choices you make.

Are you a biblical scholar or are you just picking verses out of context to stir up a hornet's nest? The latter, I will wager.

All angels (including the fallen angels or demons) were created by God, but the term "sons of God" refers to spirtitual adoption through Christ.

The demons can never be spiritual Sons of God in this manner as they already chose to follow Satan for all eternity.

there was only 300 angels who mated with women and created the nephilim(giants) those are what became demons.....they're not the same as 'fallen angels' who were sons of God! Just as lucifer tricked mankind into following him and rejecting their Creator...so too did he trick 1/3 of the sons of God into following him and rejecting their Creator! Satan is not a name it's a title and it means adversary or enemy....the term satan can refer to any number of fallen angels or demons not just lucifer or properly Ex-lucifer!

The Sons of God mated with the daughters of Earth and made the Nephilim if I remember correctly. They were later destroyed in the flood.

Thats how the story goes if I can recall correctly. The bible is full of oddities.

According to the bible, demons are rebelious angels. They were created by God to serve him, so in a way, you're right.

yeah - and?

No, seriously - you're right - most people don't know that, or vehemently deny that it is possible.

I did - but that's because I actually bothered to read the OT. Lots of people only ever look at the NT.

Have you ever thought that man made god and its all a big *** story to scare people!!!! I think you should be reading about evolution and things like that instead of the bible at least you will be learning facts...Charles Darwin was a genius, and was seen now god on the other hand the only people that seen him are considered crazy...think about that.
