Definitely mysterious. Looks like she has a secret she's not ever going to tell anyone. My teacher in third grade showed us a cool trick. If you cover half of her face and look at only one part, one half looks solemn, the other looks very happy. It's almost as if DA Vince drew the two halves during two different moods the woman had and combined them. He and Botticelli are my favorite artists from that period of the Renaissance.

you know what? i don't think so either. but if you want to get a good grade in your class, you'd be best off going along with whatever your teacher thinks about the mona lisa, unless you can really back up whatever you have to say about it.

the mona lisa's proportions are exact to leonardo's. many people think he painted himself disguised as a woman, because mirrors were illegal in his lifetime.
