do you mean the size of the band, or the size of stone or whatever on top?

well, for the band, that can always be resized

and for whatever is on top of the ring, depends on the girl. i like simple things, so if my boyfriend bought me something huge and gaudy, i wouldn't like it as much, but some girls are the opposite.

I am sure she will like it either way but having the right size make it nicer. If it is the wrong size either she will have to wear it on a differnt finger or necklace or she will have to have it sized which usually takes time. If it is the right size, she can wear it now, which is what she will probably want to do. But, I think she will be happy that you thought enough of her to by the ring no matter what.

If you are referring to the type of ring to give your girl, if she loves you, then it wouldn't matter what type you give her. Now ring size is another matter. You have to make sure that you know the size of her ring finger so the ring you give her would surely fit.

The size definitely matters. A ring wont be any good if it's always slipping off her finger! Does she own any other rings already? Could you *sneak* one of them away for sizing purposes?

It's sweet of you to want to give her a ring. :)

she won't like it if it won't fit then you're stuck having to get it re-sized. Ask her friends or a family member what size ring she wears and keep the receipt. some places will size the ring for free.

If it's just "any" ring, she should like it anyway. She can make it into a necklace. If it's an engagement ring or something like that, it'd be nice for her if it fits.

yes it does.

the size of the ring matters because if it doesn't fit on her finger what good is it?

does the size of the pearl/diamond/stone matter? you bet it does!
