Jesus was not only a "good person" but a perfect human..perfect in every way. Everything He was then and did was for humans...
Jesus [the Word] is divine from the beginning and became a man.
John 1:1,14, NIV. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… . The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."
It was necessary for Jesus to take on human nature.
Hebrews 2:17, NIV. "For this reason He had to be made like His brothers in every way, in order that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that He might make atonement for the sins of the people."
Jesus demonstrated his humanity and divinity in resisting temptation.
Hebrews 4:14-15, NIV. "Therefore, since we have a great High Priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin."
Jesus demonstrated his divinity by his resurrection.
Mark 16:6, TLB. "But the angel said, 'Don't be so surprised. Aren't you looking for Jesus, the Nazarene who was crucified? He isn't here! He has come back to life! Look, that's where His body was lying."
Paul testifies to the divinity of Christ.
Colossians 2:9, NIV. "For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form."
Sooner or later every man, woman and child will acknowledge that Jesus is Lord.
Philippians 2:9-11, NIV. "Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Jesus calls people to repentance.
Matthew 4:17, NIV. "From that time on Jesus began to preach, 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.'"
Jesus did not come to do away with the Law, but show us how it works.
Matthew 5:17, NIV. "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."
Jesus is the only way to God.
John 14:6, NIV. "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"
Jesus has the power over death.
John 11:25, NIV. "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies.'"
Jesus' work touched people's lives.
Matthew 4:23, TLB. "Jesus traveled all through Galilee teaching in the Jewish synagogues, everywhere preaching the Good News about the Kingdom of Heaven. And He healed every kind of sickness and disease."
John 1:12 and I Peter 3:18, TLB. "But to all who received [Jesus], He gave the right to become children of God. All they needed to do was to trust Him to save them." "He died once for the sins of all us guilty sinners although He himself was innocent of any sin at any time, that He might bring us safely home to God."

Certainly he is a good person! There is no doubt about it because he is the perfect image of the Father who is in heaven. He is the Word made Flesh and dwelt among us. Though sinless, he lived among us just like anyone of us - and he did so because he wants to save us all from the snares of the Evil one. When he ascended into heaven, he did not leave us orphans. He sent us his Holy Spirit to strengthen us and lead a life worthy of God until the end of time.

Yes, I think he was good. But he was more than a person in my opinion. He is the Son of God.

He was the only truly good person who ever lived.Because he was God.
A guy asked him"Good teacher ...blah blah.." Jesus said" Why call me good ? There is only one who's good and that is God".
In other words 'Don't call me good unless you also realize that I am God'.
The scriptures say "There is none good,no not one"
Except Jesus!
