I had a client who was taking it. He got used to the shots pretty easily after a while. I knew him over the course of aboue 8 years, and at the end at age 18 he was about 5'10", so it seems the shots were effective.
Once things fall into a routine, it will be easier. It may be harder for you giving the shot. I had to do that for a while when my partner was sick, and I was more squeamish than he was.

My 11 year old son was also on Human Growth Hormone The results were fantastic He was able to achieve his full height which is 5ft 10 in. At 11 years old he was 4 ft 7in so you can see the results were great. At first he was scared about shots so I administered them but in time he grew in confidence an gave himself his own shots.

The shot is injected into a muscle so it may or may not be a little sore. Your doctor will tell you what to watch for and do about that.
Sometimes after the set if daily shots he might need to have it once a month. That is no big deal.
You hopefully will see an increase in his height and size.

The needle is very small so doesn't hurt too much. It is a little scary at first, but he will get used to it pretty quickly. Its so worth it, not just for growing taller but for overall health and feeling well. I am an adult and started it a couple of years ago for growth hormone deficiency....I feel sooo much better.

Obviously there is a reason for him taking this..Yes there could be some tenderness at the injection site. But he must know that they serve a purpose. Have him talk to his doctor about any concerns he may have. 11 is not to young to become pro active in his health care..

I'm sorry, I'm sure that's gunna be painful... but I know how painful it's already been for him.
I wish I could tell you about experiences with this drug, but I can't... all I can say is that I hope for the best for him and for you.
