I read more evil comments than I would care to. What is the problem with you on yahoo? Are you all mostly cold hearted?

French C,
Hitler is an antichrist. Jerry Falwell is a Christian. Hitler is in hell fire. Jerry Falwell is in Heaven.

I don't ever believe anyones accusations against another, because they are always false or exagerated.

"What goes around comes around"? Well there's some wisdom. Are you saying he died because of what he believed? The man was 73 years old for crying out loud! I guess God finally decided to punish him after 50 plus years of spreading His Word, huh? Give me a break!

As a Christian, I didn't agree with the way he always came across but he certainly was a man who stood by his Biblicly-based convictions and never apologized for them. The posts of many of you here show me what type of people are on Yahoo! and certainly reflect the mindset of the people that Falwell spoke against. Don't criticize someone on a subject that you obviously are not as educated on as the person you are criticizing. That pretty much explains why there are so many that are writing bad things about Falwell. It's plain ignorance.

As far as him preaching with fear, like it or not Hell is a very real place. Pretending it doesn't exist won't make it go away. The Bible mentions Hell 3 times more than Heaven. I'm guessing God was trying to make a point. Again, I'm not a big Falwell supporter but I am a Jesus supporter and there's no doubt in my mind that Jerry Falwell is currently in the Glory of Heaven with Jesus Christ right now.

When was the last time you had something nice to say about Hitler? Have you ever heard any of the mean, hateful, bigoted, racist, homophobic diatribe that came from Falwell?

Your head is in the sand if you haven't. If I believed in Christianity, I would certainly believe that Falwell and all the other hateful Jesus-Freaks will be in HELL burning for an eternity.

You are naive to your subject.

EDIT: Do yourself a favor and find out what this guy that you defend actually believed and is on the record as saying these horrible things:

AIDS is not just God's punishment for homosexuals; it is God's punishment for the society that tolerates homosexuals.

AIDS is the wrath of a just God against homosexuals. To oppose it would be like an Israelite jumping in the Red Sea to save one of Pharoah's chariotters.

You've got internet .. do your own independent research. This man is not the great man you have wasted your compliments on. Get a clue!

EDIT: Jerry Falwell blames America for 911.

JERRY FALWELL: And I agree totally with you that the Lord has protected us so wonderfully these 225 years. And since 1812, this is the first time that we've been attacked on our soil and by far the worst results. And I fear, as Donald Rumsfeld, the Secretary of Defense, said yesterday, that this is only the beginning. And with biological warfare available to these monsters - the Husseins, the Bin Ladens, the Arafats - what we saw on Tuesday, as terrible as it is, could be miniscule if, in fact - God continues to lift the curtain and allow the enemies of America to give us probably what we deserve.

PAT ROBERTSON: Jerry, that's my feeling. I think we've just seen the antechamber to terror. We haven't even begun to see what they can do to the major population.

JERRY FALWELL: The ACLU's got to take a lot of blame for this.

PAT ROBERTSON: Well, yes.

JERRY FALWELL: And, I know that I'll hear from them for this. But, throwing God out successfully with the help of the federal court system, throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools. The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way - all of them who have tried to secularize America - I point the finger in their face and say "you helped this happen."

all of them have their humorous little inconsistencies and paranoid hypocricies, maximum religions and faiths do. it style of feels to make human beings braindead. purely examine out the looney component in soccer followers, it is an identical, they have an unjustified hate of the contest. even though it is not purely faith, russia and china, all so stated as communist international locations have been as barbaric as religious international locations. human beings would be human beings, untill they grow to be happy with their very own lives they won't be waiting to stand peace. Of each and every of the religions Islam is the religion the main pushed international, by applying stealth, by applying any means at their disposal. The devil does'nt exist, each and every person is the demons. They take care of one yet another with contempt. I even have on no account experienced lots contempt against me than I did whilst i became into in Iran and different areas of the ME. My crime curiously became into that i became right into a woman not chained to the kitchen sink, barefoot and pregnant. i became right into a woman first in the past i became right into a guy or woman, and that i did'nt experience any further suitable taken care of than the livestock.

People are merely quoting Falwell's hateful statements, which incited tremendous bigotry and intolerance against many groups of people. If anything is evil, it was Falwell's attitude against anybody in society who did not $upport his mini$try, and it is being exposed for what it is: hypocrisy.

Lots of people do not like him because he spoke the truth and the WORLD does not want to hear the bad stuff they are doing. The world expects everyone to go along with their sin just like nothing. Falwell told it like it is and that made many people hate him, but they first hated Jesus so that should be no surprise to us Christians.

Quotes from Mr Fallwell:

AIDS is not just God's punishment for homosexuals; it is God's punishment for the society that tolerates homosexuals.

Billy Graham is the chief servant of Satan in America.

Christians, like slaves and soldiers, ask no questions.

I think the Muslim faith teaches hate.

The First Amendment is not without limits.

If you're not a born-again Christian, you're a failure as a human being.

I hope I live to see the day when, as in the early days of our country, we won't have any public schools. The churches will have taken them over again and Christians will be running them. What a happy day that will be!

AIDS is the wrath of a just God against homosexuals. To oppose it would be like an Israelite jumping in the Red Sea to save one of Pharoah's chariotters.

I never cared for what little I heard him preach, and I think that he had much to say that was an aberration to Christianity, but I don't have a grudge against the guy. His family must be missing him.

He had a high standard and he preached that. People in sin want nothing to do with righteousness and that is exactly why they respond the way they do. Funny thing about it is they were the the same people claiming he hated people when in fact they practice the same thing. A little bit of hypocrisy I'd say.

Because he was a cold hearted person with ideas that promote division and prejudice between the people of this world.
