What is this big bump in my mouth by my molars?

Back by my molars, on the inside of my teeth (not out by my cheek-inside the jaw of teeth right under one of my molars) there is this bump-it appeared today and it hurts. I have a dentist appt thursday to have him look at it but I am wondering what it is.

It could be a wisdom tooth gone wayward, a cyst or an injury that has swollen. It's good that you have the appointment.

if it hurts it is probably an abscess. just take pain pills until your appt.
