Yes I have.It doesn`t matter what question you ask you will get answers for and against because all people don`t feel the same way.You must have the Holy Ghost to be saved. He`s the one who convicts you off your sin.So if your saved you have the Holy Ghost. Now if you go deeper you can feel the power of the Holy Ghost and you will have an over flowing of his love and giving yourself over to this in prayer you will be filled with the Holy Ghost which usually has the sign of stammering lips. Its a beautiful feeling and its also beautiful to see.Its also wonderful to hear someone sing in the Spirit or have some one really speak in a tongue that you don`t understand and then have some one else interpret it.I heard this one time in a giant auditorium where you couldn`t hear the speakers unless they were on a microphone yet some one in the back spoke in an un known tongue and it was clear as a bell and then someone else on the other side interpreted it also loud and understandable.Gave me goose bumps.

Realize that just because they are in "religion and spirituality" section does not mean they are all sincere in their faith, and believe in Christ the hope of Salvation. They are those who are like those that followed the Israelites out of Egypt, the mockers, the backbiters, the quasi religious, those who murmur against God's people. They are the blights on your love feasts they are the tares among the wheat.
However the devil hates Christians being filled with the Holy Spirit, because when they do his kingdom is defeated in the lives of others, for the Christian is then empowered to destroy the works of the devil that is his lies perpetuated in the lives of unbelievers. The devil delights when Christians act like they have not even heard of the Holy Spirit or regulate Him to a sideline position in their lives or a prisoner in their own bodies or whatever they put His position, until they become servants to the LORD, and are filled and empowered to be victorious over sin, death, hell and the grave you will get such negative answers.

Because anything about the fruits or gifts of the Holy Spirit is a touchy topic.
I have been wounded in the past, & I am sure others have also.
Only because I have been filled with the Holy Spirit with signs of speaking in tongues. Some people will say that it is wrong, evil, etc... In the NT it is written to not prevent anyone the gift of speaking in tongues. But when it is done during a church service it should be done in order with interpretation, because God isn't a God of confusion.
A baptist denomination, just allowed their congregation to speak in tongues in their prayer closet. I think in 1998 they had said they couldn't do that. Well, there is something seriously wrong with that baptist denomination.
It clearly writes about the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the Church until the unity & fulness of the Church comes in. The gifts are meant to edify and mature the body of Christ.

Because a lot of people don't know what it means to be filled with the Holy Spirit. The negative responses are a result of their lack of knowledge.

The work of the Holy Spirit is difficult for many people to understand. Most people do not like to speak of the things that are a mystery, somewhat out of the ordinary.
I have seen from my life that there is few things more wonderful thatn complete surrender to the Holy Spirit of GOD, but unquestionably, it takes great Faith.

Christians want to believe that they are at the pinnacle of their faith and to have someone ask them about something totally unfamiliar makes them uneasy. I have been filled with the Holy Spirit, tongues (my pray language) and holy laughter, which was awesome. I am going to a Baptist church right now b/c of my husband and am limited in my worship and its killing me. I still pray every day and read my Bible, but I need more. Pray for me!!

Funny isn't it? Grace is beautiful, trying to describe the experiece of Grace brings ridicule. My guess is that question often seems to be accompanied by a strict definition of what it means. People hear it as "Have you been filled with the holy spirit (as I define it) or are you going to Hell"? To bad, cause without the judgement it is a beautiful question.
