Mederma is good. Neosporin also makes a scar treatment that I like better. It's called Neosporin scar solution. If you are allergic to onions you cannot use any scar treatments as they all have onion in them. I know it sounds funny, but it's true.
You might also want to try Pigment of Your Imagination by Philosophy. It contains hydroquinone that lightens skin. Since most scars lack pigment they are noticable because they are lighter than the surrounding skin. You could use the hydroquinone cream on your arms once you are finished with the scar treatment, not at the same time.
You should use sunscreen on your arms, too. Sun makes scars worse. I like that new neutrogena SPF 70 with helioplex, it's by far the best on the market. Bought it at WalMart and they have it at Target, too. We just spent 7 hours at a water park and not one of us got burned. It's very good. read about it here:

Best of luck to you, take care of those arms.

You can buy an over-the-counter cream at your local pharmacy called Mederma which has been proven to lighten scars. According to the packaging, you need to rub it on the scar tissue every day and then you'll see results after a couple of months. I guess it depends on how dark your scars are in the first place. It's not a cheap solution either, a tube of this cream cost almost $10 at the local CVS.

Some acne scars don't go away...ever!! Depending how severe they are. But I know what you mean about popping a pimple and the mark stays there for a while. There isn't any way of removing it. Just don't pick at it because it will get worse. You can put a cream on it when the pimple is new to prevent it from getting bigger and try to avoid the temptation of squeezing!!! Try clean and clear, proactiv, or chemist products.
