I'm getting a haircut this Saturday. I have long, dark (almost black) hair thats sometimes straight, sometimes a slight wave. How should I get it cut? If you can, please put a picture with your suggestion. Also, if you have any, styling tips would be helpful.

I would get a it layered. I would also get bangs; about tip of the nose length. You can brush them off to the side, and they look super cute. I couldn't find a picture, but I have the hairstyle and it's totally cute. I would upload a picture, but I'm not allowed. Sorry! As for the styling tips, any hair style looks great. You can wear it up in a ponytail, or just down. It looks great either way.

I just had this problem a couple of weeks ago. I had let my hair grow out past my shoulders and it was all one length. I finally got the guts to get it cut and I decided on long layers. It came out great. I suggest you do the same. It will look great straight, curly or wavy.

I have the same hair. I think layers and a side-swept bangs would work best. That is a really easy haircut to maintain. All you have to do is wash, blow-dry (optional), and get out of the house. It works straight or wavy--either way. :-) Hope that helps!

My hair is like yours and I go to Cosmetology School and if I were you I wouldnt do anything but have it trimmed because you have so many options of things to do with your hair if it is long, you can braid it, wear it in a ponytail, laeve it down, put it up or down and it still looks great as long as you keep it trimmed every six weeks.

Long layers like this would look good & be versatile:
