Can Tretinoin be used on other parts of the body?

Since it will improve skin discoloration on the face I was wonder ing will it improve the color of the scars on my legs from my surgery. do you have any suggestions?, I'm black and the scars are about 2 weeks post op. I have merderma and also the Dr. suggested coco butter or vitamin E oil

i would consider the use of tretinoin only on the doctor's advice. talk to your doctor, good luck
