I can understand disliking the unfairness concerning ILLEGAL immigrants, but why do some people treat ALL immigrants like crap even if they're LEGAL. I am a LEGAL immigrant from Mexico, yet when someone mentions the word "Mexican" they automatically think illegal. Why don't people complain about the illegal immigrants that sneak in from Europe and Asia?

Because some people are insecure about themselves so they have to make themselves feel better about their short comings. It is sad to see people like yahoo user Carolyn n have hate in their heart. Yes I'm a legal hispanic too, but I think people's anger are towards the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants that flood across the border, which I understand. As long as you're a loyal American like most legal immigrants they would have no reason to dislike once they get to know you. Unless you're part of La Raza, just the concept of creating "Greater Mexico" is treasonous

Well, since almost 80 percent of the illegal immigrants that are in this country are from Mexico, I think that will tell you why you are treated the way you are.
Is it right? Not on your life. But don't blame everything on the Americans that assume you are illegal. I think a large part of the blame falls onto the shoulders of the ones that are here illegally, for they are the ones earning you that stereotype.

Most Mexicans work in the farms and are cheap labor. They use up our tax money without paying taxes. Also SOME cheat the system and make all other races made at them. While Asians and Europeans usually hold higher jobs and contribute more to society. Now I am not saying this is how it is everytime. This is just how I have seen it.

We are being inundated with mexicans, we cant assimilate them as fast as they are coming into the country. Immigrants have always had problems till they assimilate and lately immigrants don't want to assimilate they want to maintain their own culture and that wont work we will be at each others throats if this continues.

GEEZE, this has been asked AND ANSWERED so many times. People don't dislike immigrants. They dislike ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS (they are breaking the law so they are criminals)!
You are totally wrong about the Americans complaints. We do complain about the illegals from other countries. However if you have Mexicans making up about 95% of illegals, people will complain more about the Mexican due to the numbers!
