make a game of it...bring in some water safe toys (or toys made for the tub!) sit with her and play with her. use a soft gentle cloth and teach her about being clean is good. make sure the water is warm, but not to hot and that the bathroom is warm for when she gets out!
my boyfreind ahs twin boys and when they were this age, one of them hated having water poured or dripped on his head! he couldnt even go to the waterpark without crying! it was very hard to get his hair washed! anyways, this was just a phase, and it might be with your daughter.
ask her why she doesnt want to. is she afraid of the water? or is it cause she doesnt like to be in the buff? or is it just a waste of precious playtime for her? she will let you know what you need to know if you just ask.
when she has a good bathtime, without fighting/screaming/tantrums, whatever she does when its bathtime, then praise her! let her know it wasnt that bad and that bathtime can be fun! kids this age just want to have fun! but do explain to her, in a way she can understand, that baths are needed to keep clean, and explain why we need to keep ourselves clean!
hope i could help!

My daughter (she's 3 also) likes bathtime but when I saw this post I thought of something.

The last few days it's been pretty hot out so we've been outside and she's been having so much fun with her baby pool. And today she asked me if she could put some bubble bath in it. She played for a couple hours, washing my car, her playhouse and picnic table.

Obviously you can't do this for every bath but maybe it'll help get her to get used to it.

Another thing ... does she go to bed after her bath? If she does maybe she's associating her bath with bedtime. A friend of mine had that problem, changed her son's routine a bit and he was fine.

take off her clothes and put her in, you're the parent!

I was kidding! I have 2 boys, and they love bath time, my husband tried bathing them a few times and they d it. I was trying to figure out what it was. He didn't have the water warm enough for them. My children are also in a routine, they are used to me bathing them, and the way my husband washes them is different than what I do. I found that if we have a routine of even so much as how we wash their face - they respond better. I mean down to the details of I wash right eye, left eye, mouth, then circle around the face.

Also keep it simple. Give her a toy or two, and let her play for only a few minutes. my boys are only in the bath for a total of about 5-6 minutes. That way, they like to play in the bath, but they don't get to forever so they are not bored with it.

I hope some of these suggestions work!

Make bathtime fun for her. Make it a special time for the two of you. Let her play in the tub first and then bathe her. Once you finish bathing her let her play a little bit more. If you make a special time she will start enjoying it. Read to her play make believe with her.

Get in the bath with her?
Fill the bathtub with more bubbles than water?
Buy the wonderful bathtime toys?
Buy painting on the bathroom walls stuff that you can get for bathtime?
Discuss how important it is to take a bath? (YES, you can talk to your three year old on a rational level I do it with mine all the time, and HE does understand)

She is 3...fill up the tub..bathe her..give her the toy option and if she doesnt want to play with toys pull her out dry her off and tell her that she was not being nice and that she needs to take baths whether she likes it or not. If you just blow off the bath because she doesnt want one then she will keep protesting. When she gets school age she will get picked on by one person because she smells or looks gross then she will want to take baths but I think at 3 she is small enough that you just do it. Get some bath paint or something to make it fun.

I don't imagine showering with mom would go over any better would it?

If not maybe you could go to Toys R Us or something and let her pick out a special toy for only bathtime use. Theres all kinds of washable tub crayons, colored bath foam, etc... maybe that would help.

I'm not sure what her fear is from, the water, the temperature, the slipperiness, the environment. I used to sit with my girls when they were little, and we'd play, no splashing until they were ready, or much deeper than a few inches at a time. warm water so not to shiver, bubbles to blow. Fun toys that are only used in the bath. We used to get the big color crayons used in bathtubs only, or shaving cream because the texture spreading it around was good. It was all FUN! I didn't worry about getting clean so much, as fun, because at the end of the time we'd be clean, :)

Many toddlers at that age hate the sensation of freedom. they have been very limited in the uterus and to all at once be all uncovered is frightening. the only reaction a newborn has to something unsightly is crying, she would be in a position to't particularly hate something yet. make certain that the water is heat sufficient. in case you could basically disclose the distinctive physique at a time might probable help; do the backside, dry off nicely, bypass away the shirt on, etc. Then cover the backside and do the appropriate. After wards, make certain to swaddle her back up and convenience her. solid success!

Try the character body washes in the cute plastic bottles, such as "Disney" or "PowerPuff girls" lots of others also. Try the character shampoos also. Making her tub environment fun will make it something that she looks forward to. The sponges that expand when wet are also fun. A few rubber duckies in the water will also help.
