Ok so lately I've been trying to eat healthy and lose weight.I've stopped eating fast food and various other junk. But I absolutley love honey roasted peantus.Like I said I eat about 2 1/2 cups per day, usually as a snack or after lunch if I'm still a little bit hungry but don't want to get too full.So I'd like to know if they're really that unhealthy for me or should I stop eating them all together or what? Thanks.

your peanuts contain a lottt of calories.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

You don't have to deprive yourself to lose weight. With most people deprivation leads to overeating shortly after slight progress is made and they tend to gain back more than they've lost. Do you think you could drop down to 1 1/2 cups per day and slowly lead yourself to 1 cup 1-2 times per week? It's difficult to stop eating something you love completely and its almost like anything you tell yourself you can't have you want the most :)

Another thing you can do is drink 6-8 oz. of water before snacking.

If possible exchange your peanuts for exercise. For example, if you eat 150 cals worth of peanuts you must burn those cals off - the same day. It works for some because they don't want to ADD 15 or more minutes to their 30-60 minute cardio routine. Others cheat themselves so you must honestly decide if it would work for you.

Be patient!

The big issue with cereal is that it's almost all carbs. Now, I'm not a fan of the low-carb diet, but when you eat you should try to have protein, fat, and complex carbohydrates because these are most satisfying. If you eat simple carbs, you'll find you're hungry again in almost no time. For breakfast, try eating some lean meat (or an egg - poached is best), some whole-wheat toast with a bit of margerine or butter, a single serving of juice, a slice of cheese or a cup of skim or low-fat milk, and maybe a banana or an apple. Good luck.

Planters Honey Roasted Peanuts

Practice moderation.

Two and a half cups of plain peanuts is way too much to be eating in a day. Now add the salt, sugar and whatever else they marinate the honey roasted ones in and you've potentially got a problem.

A three ounce bag alone has 486 calories. Think about that.

yes. occasionally for a treat wouldn't be so bad but honey roasted peanuts are high in sugar, calories, and fat. 2 1/2 cups per day is quite a bit. I would stop immediately.

Yep, they are pretty loaded with calories and fat. My suggestion is this: Reduce the amount you eat...little by little. The trick is to replace it with something else. Try low fat popcorn or all natural almonds...sold in bulk or in can. The popcorn you could eat quite a bit of. The almonds....in moderation...just a few at a time.
These two worked for me cuz what I really wanted was the repitition of snacking, so to speak. I can still do this and get the crunch factor with these two replacement foods....perhaps it will work for you. Just start slowly, baby steps! Then you will more likely not feel deprived.
The best of luck to you :)

When boredom, depression, or perhaps stress causes cravings, find a nonfood way to meet them such as getting a walk, calling a friend, taking a bath, reading a book, or maybe doing some yoga.
