THEY WILL KNOW WE ARE CHRISTIANS BY OUR LOVE?

In 1999, he told an evangelical conference that the Antichrist was a male Jew who was probably already alive. Falwell later apologized for the remark but not for holding the belief .

A month later, his National Liberty Journal warned parents that Tinky Winky, a purple, purse-toting character on television's "Teletubbies" show, was a gay role model and morally damaging to children.

Days after Sept. 11, 2001, Falwell essentially blamed feminists, gays, lesbians and liberal groups for bringing on the terrorist attacks.

THEY WILL KNOW WE ARE CHRISTIANS BY OUR LOVE?????????

By all accounts, Mother Teresa was more Christlike than most of us, including Rev. Falwell.

If you mean a made up story amalgamating several popular philosophies of the times 2000 years ago, then no, Falwell wasn't like that at all. He was more like a fear mongering liar whose agenda was more along the lines of: cash in on the ignorance of others while spreading confusion and bile across the globe

Falwell was too liberal for me. To me, he, Billy Graham, Benny Hinn, Jimmy Swaggart, Jim Baker, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton are way too much into humanism. Rest assure I'll never have them on my television! Humanism = "I think" or "I feel" or "It's good enough". What does that have to do with the Word of God?

And the clowns like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakkan are too self-centered

I believe Human Rights Campaign
president Joe Solmonese said it best.

“Reverend Falwell’s death today causes my thoughts to turn toward the members of our community who have at great personal sacrifice contended with the Reverend’s work and teachings," said Human Rights Campaign president Joe Solmonese.

"As I remember Reverend Falwell’s life, I also remember all of the families of people who have died of AIDS,” said Solmonese.

"Reverend Falwell’s legacy is not about the tenants of Jesus’ ministry such as healing the sick and standing with the disenfranchised but about shunning and ridiculing those who have suffered and died of AIDS and their families. Many faith leaders today are moving away from his divisive approach and toward the compassion and inclusiveness that Jesus modeled every day of his ministry.”

I could never use "Christlike" and "Falwell" in the same sentence.

He was a man who helped to bring about dissension and hatred.

I assume you are being sarcastic. ... two weeks ago, he asked Christ for 20 more years so he could finish his job on Earth...he got his answer, didn't he.
He was a two-faced hypocrite who lied through his teeth. He spread hate, not love. He destroyed those who preached love, coveted others churches and stole them anyway he could. He was an evil man with no redeeming features...What world do you live in?....oh, yes, the Christian world that ignores facts and history. good luck, you will need it.
