I'll be 14 years in June, I was wondering if this is old enough to get a job in the state of Ohio? What kind of pay can I expect from a job? I don't have any real work experience besides stuff done as "paid favors" from my family. I was wondering any of you who remember your first jobs or have any experience saving your own money?

you have to have working papers. or else you can baby-sit, etc. be a kid for as long as possible. at 16, you'll want a job to pay for a car, etc, so i say, be a kid for as long as you can.

hi.. i'm not sure what the age to work is in ohio, but i do know that these days a teenager has to have a work permit.

you can probably ask about this by calling your local State employment office... just look in the phone book under State Listings.. (maybe it's the blue pages?)

have you considered babysitting? I used to babysit when i was your age... sometimes it can be fun, especially if there is only 1-2 children (i think that is quite enough anyway).

i lived in ohio growing up and my first job was when i was 16, and able to drive to it myself...

take care.

I don't know about Ohio. But most places you have to be atleast 16. Babysitting is good. Put an ad in you local paper or on your church bulletin board. At your parents work. ( in their brake room). If not maybe cutting grass. That way if you have plans for the weekend you don't have to worry about working a certain schedule. Enjoy not working while you still can.
