Wow, I've been trying to tan all my life and have never really succeeded, and you want to tan? Well, the key thing is to stay out of the sun, but I'm sure you've already figured that out. Stay indoors and when you're outside, stand in the shade. Wear long pants, long sleeves, etc. For particularly sunny weather, wearing long sleeve does not have to mean warm clothes. You can wear sheer, light long sleeves and that should be able to protect you from tanning. Good luck!

Yeah you have a lot of options! Start by making your face a bit whiter, your body will become fair quicker than your face, just cover it with clothing and/or sunscreen.
For your face, I would reccomend this stuff called Porcelena. I use it twice a day, its great for me because I bike all the time and am exposed to a lot of sun, so it has a sunscreen included so I dont tan or burn. It does a good job of whitening!
Also, heres a GREAT thing to try:
Blend a mix of oats and condensed milk and apply to your face for 10 minutes for about 9-10 days in a row. This does a few things, it clears up your skin (soothes, calms, gets rid of redness, drying, and swelling if you have acne), it evens your complexion and smooths out the look of your pores, and it lightens the skin a lot.
I did it and I am addicted to it, its wonderful!
Give it a shot if you can, avoid chemicals too... They will irritate your skin, making it red and more pigmented.
Hope that helps, good luck!

I have never heard of this. Try imagining your skin is gold, or bronze. I did have a very dark sister, and she went through this at 15 yrs old. I was 13 yrs old. I said I thought it was golden, as my younger brother was dark, but a lighter brown dark.
Well, it worked for her. Her skin actually appeared more golden after awhile. She said I think about what you said, and use my hair, which was so black, it was blue=black. The rest of us were blue=eyed and fair skinned, so she had four "light" sisters, although brown eyes like my mom. You have to adjust it to your features. Your eyebrows, your nose, try symmetrical things, and fashion. She loved big hoops.
Good luck.

you have your color because you tan easy? why? have someone made a comment about your skin that offended you? or compare your skin tone against your sibling (who might be fair skin) and ask you how come your skin is darker than your sibling?
you should be thankful for your skin tone, do you know how many people bake or cook themselves in the hot summer sun to get that look. if you really want light skin ask your doctor or see a good dermatologist. good luck

Wow. this is the first person I've heard who WANTS to have fair skin. Go you! Well, I suggest wear sunscreen whenever you go outside, and since you tan easily, reapply often, like every half hour to every hour.

Don't expose yourself to the sun.Use sunblock and an umbrella when you go out.Wear something with long sleeves for protection on top of what you wear so you can take it off as soon as it's not needed.
