I just leave the milk in the fridge like I'm supposed to, and it develops these icy chunks inside. I wish it wouldn't.

Yes, more like ice crystals. You definitely have your frig on a higher setting but summer is coming up so you don't want to raise the temp much. Try moving your milk to another shelf. Depending on what type of frig you have some places are very much colder and meat would be good to keep ther while eggs & milk don't require as cold . Just start by moving to the center of the frig. then move it around till you find the right spot. Once it is frozen you will have to give it a chance to thaw before you can distinguish the right slpt!!! I like a litte ice in mine but just a little!

Could be that the temperature of the refrigerator is set too cold. It could also be that the air flow is set too much to the refrigerator and should be adjusted more to the freezer. If you can, check the manufacturer's recommendation in the book and adjust from there. If not, start with both settings in the middle and adjust from there. I like my refrigerator very cold, so I have the temperature adjusted a little on the cold side, but my milk doesn't freeze.

Either your refrigerator is set too cold or you have a cold spot. Maybe the door of the fridge isn't as cold? How old is the fridge? Perhaps it's ready to retire and be replaced by a more energy efficient model?

Your refrigerator is set to low, try keeping it just above 35/ 40 degrees. I like my milk ice cold, I usually add ice to a glass before I pour some milk for myself.

The temperature of your refrigerator is at 32 degrees F (0 degrees C) or below to create ice. Turn it up to 34 degrees.
