how many Tylenol do u need to Overdose and kill yourself?

Tylenol DOES kill you. You have to eat a ton of it. Most people vomit before they get there (that's why you can buy it without prescription).

Tylenol is a lousy way to overdose. It takes too long, you get discovered, have to do the whole detained in hospital thing and talk to the shrink thing. If you get discovered too late you also get liver failure. Then you get more depressed.

You want to go to see a psychiatrist and get yourself some antidepressants and some counselling.

If the counselling doesn't work you can try the antidepressants. One type of old fashioned antidepressant is really good to OD with. The modern ones are much safer though and the only way they'll kill you is if you accidentally breathe them in and you choke to death.

Any dose above about 4 G (4000mg)/day is not recommended. I am a nurse and have treated people with OD of acetaminophen and it is a bad scene. You are alive but your liver is failing. It can be very long and painful. Lots of people say that it is not dangerous, but tylenol is one of the most toxic over the counter drugs to your body if taken too much. I would guess that taking about 4 to 6 grams at a time would screw your day up. Best not to kill yourself at all but tylenol is a long, sucky way to go.

Most people treat any dose above 150 mg per kg of body mass, though it may take triple that to be sure of liver failure. It's not a choice way to go, though, because the liver damage takes a few days, and either liver transplant or death is miserable and may take months. Always more unpleasant than the circumstances that caused the suicidal ideation to begin with.

Man, the nursing class of 2009 is doomed! You can absoulutely overdose on Tylenol, as it will cause your liver to shut down. You'll turn all yellow, and within three days you'll be dead.
