I DID NOT KNOW THEY WERE POISONOUS AT THE TIME OF EATING THEM as one person suggested.

Open your mouth and observe any things that resembles blister type of eruptions. That is the way the poison from the buttercup flowers and stems look like.
Oh, and dont forget the blood y diarrhea.
Maybe a couple wouldnt hurt. I dont know
-------------------
Some homeopathic websites say relax, a couple will not kill you, and the comon field buttercup is a remedy for rheumatic pains.
______________
Conclusion- If you have arthritis, it might get better.
___________
However, if for any reason animals do ingest fresh buttercup, a toxic glycoside (ranunculin) within the flowers, leaves and stems will cause severe blistering of the mucous membranes lining the entire gastrointestinal tract, and protracted bloody diarrhea will ensue. (Humans are also susceptible to the effects of this glycoside, so one should never consume any part of the plant or permit direct skin contact with the plant juices.)

The fresh leaves and stems of the buttercup plant are poisonous. The toxin in buttercup is protoanemonin, a volatile yellow oil, which causes intense oral irritation and gastrointestinal irritation. If ingested in sufficient quantity, if will cause severe irritation in the mouth and then in the gut leading to cramping and bloody diarrhea. The effects would occur shortly after eating them. I would say that at this point if you are ok, you are not in any danger. I am concerned for you that you intentionally ate a plant you know was considered poisonous. I would strongly encourage you that if this is the case you seek out someone you can talk to about this, like a counselor at school, public health nurse (whose number can be found in your phone book), or someone responsible you can confide in. All the best to you!

Most buttercup species are only slightly poisonous, but one, the Monkshood, can kill within hours of ingestion. The flowers are white on the Monkshood, so if the flowers you ate were yellow, you probably won't have any ill-effects from eating just 3. The symptoms would develop within a few hours as the flowers moved through your digestive system.

Buttercup poison causes blistering of the skin and,if swallowed, of the mouth and digestive tract. Deaths are rare but vomiting and convulsions can occur and lead to choking and suffocation.

Buttercups (the flower) are poisonous -- call the Poison Control Center (1-800-222-1222) and ask them what, if anything, you should do. If you start feeling sick, then call 911 immediately.
And stop eating flowers!

you're quite fortunate this time. that's a cornsnake. they are harmless they are able to chew yet are not poisionous. They even make large pets. they are no longer quite aggressive and are large for pest administration. We use them in our barns to maintain rats and mice away. yet you ought to ought to tell him to on no account do this agian. next time he %. up a brown snake he would grab a copperhead and you'd be in the ER hoping he would not die. Snakes are comprehend joking be counted. tell him to on no account touch a snake. If he comes for the time of one to at present end and slowly back away. He have been given fortunate this time yet do no longer continually anticipate success. Corn snakes share a similar habitat as cottonmouths, copperheads, and prairie rattlesnakes. Make him set that one loose letting him save it sends the incorrect message that what he did no longer wasn't all that undesirable. If he quite needs a snake take him to a petstore. the money is worth it to maintain him from repeating this blunders.
