Some people claim that they do have memories of their mother's womb and birth. Some people can remember what it was like to be a small baby.
I don't have any memories before the age of about 4; does that mean I wasn't a human being before then?

A baby's impressions are without reference. We know things by their contrasts, their names, their familiarity. A baby in utero has no references. He's just hanging out in a warm, dark, moist place. It must be very meditative.

Why would we want to? If we could remember that then it is likely we could remember being born and that just isn't very pleasant.

Our awareness was zilch--we were dependent on our mothers to for nutrition to allow us to live apart from the womb--but still remain dependent until our facilities ripen & grow--including awareness .
