I'd just stay away from fast food and soda.
You're young and your metabolism is working well.

Keep running and walking and I'd recommend doing sit-ups every night if you want to lose the weight around your belly.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

You don't mention if you are overweight, or if your weight is considered right for you. But, given your age, your metabolism is on your side, and it sounds like you are already exercising which is great. Rather than a restrictive "diet", you just need to choose foods that are healthy and nutritious, leaving out the junk and empty calories, and make good choices, eating those things whenever you are hungry.
First of all, eliminate all soft drinks or sweetened drinks like lemonade, gatorade, etc. Instead, choose water, and lots of it. Water is the basis for life in your body, so it helps keep your metabolism moving. Drink 1% or fat free milk for calcium and as a good source of protein.
Eliminate candy, sweets, chips, etc. Treat yourself once in a while to a low fat ice cream or yogurt, but in general, make your between meal snack count: choose a handful of almonds, lowfat cheese sticks, fresh or dried unsweetened fruit, or canned fruit in fruit juice rather than syrup. Frozen grapes and bananas make GREAT refreshing summer snacks.
If your folks cook dinner, eat enough to feel full, but don't stuff yourself. Your meals should consist of a serving of protein, like chicken or lean beef, veggies, and maybe some pasta, rice or beans. Maybe since you are trying to eat well, you can help suggest meal plans that will help the entire family eat better. For example, suggesting that you have grilled chicken instead of fried burgers. Again tho, the important thing is portion control. You can eat pretty much what you like at mealtimes if you don't overeat.
Don't skip breakfast. It really IS the most important meal of the day! Oatmeal sweetened with applesauce and with a handful of nuts thrown in is a good choice. There are LOTS of wholegrain cereals, low in fat, but high in fiber like Special K, raisin bran, etc. Eat them with skim milk and add a serviing of fruit for a balanced meal.
I think you will find if you choose nutritious between meals snacks and don't overeat at meals, as you grow thru this time you will notice your body slimming. It is very important that you do not starve yourself or limit yourself too dramatically, as you are still growing, and need the energy your diet provides. And, if you skimp too much, you will only feel deprived and binge on something you know you shouldn't, like chips or chocolate. Good luck to you!

It really depends on how much you weigh.
Don't go starving yourself but really get off the sugar. The sugar will be your downfall. Stick to fruits and vegtables and easy up on the bread. Drink lots and lots of water.
I know its hard the first few days but get yourself into a routine.

First of all, you need to cut out all the snacks like chips, candy , soda and cookies.
After that, you need to increase your physical activity. Get involved in a sport or extracurricular activity and you are sure to see results.
Remember to take small steps. It is not going to happen overnight.

cut out most sweets and fatty foods. A low fat diet with exercise and try not to over eat. this will get you going in the right direction.
