when i tan outside, i generally stay out all day...but i don`t do it often, just occasionally, as i tan daily in the tanning bed & really don`t have time to toast myself all day inthe sun...this is one benefit to the tanning bed, it`s very quick!!!

To get tanned in the natural sun depending how sunny can be from 7-30 minutes, I would not suggest tanning in the sun becuase of premature wrinkles and sun cancer, I would suggest sunless airbrush tanning which is sprayed to your body by a tanning professional only takes 10-15 minutes, and most of all its safe and better looking than the sunburned tan look.

depends on if ur darker or lighter complected
try an expiriment:
go out and jump in your pool or put water all over urself and just lay in the sun
If the water drys on you in like 2-5 minutes that means that the sun is more attracted to you and you will get tanned faster (generally naturally dark people tan and light ones sunburn)
If the water takes longer than 10 minutes to dry that it takes a long time for you to get tan

it depends on what shade you are, and how long you tan. fair skin, 5-10 min. for 7 sessions: tan, 2-5 mins. 3 or 4 sessions.
hope this helped!! ^-^
