You do 300 sit ups everday?? Well thats a good start for endurance training. You need to focus not only on sit ups but your diet as well. Simply doing sit ups is not going to "tone" your abdominal area.

You need to do interval cardio training 30-60 minutes per day, or most days of the week, to decrease your total body fat percentage, also you need to be doing 2-3 total body strength training workouts weekly. You need to take a serious look at your diet and you need to incorporate other abdominal exercises into your abdominal routine. You should perform 6-8 different exercises with 2-3 sets and for only 2-3 days per week. A 15-25 minute ab workout can be effective if you are challenging the muscles otherwise you'll be soon doing 1000 situps daily and still seeing little results.

Set total body goals rather than attempting to change a few areas, its much easier, it decreases the risk of injury from muscular imbalances and the results will be much more pleasing to your eyes. I mean who wants a 6 pack with flabby arms or chubby lower back?

Good luck!

sit ups only make your belly look bigger since there is now more muscle underneaht the layer of fat - they dont burn fat
do more cardio - its the only exercise that burns fat - 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat) and combine it with light weight training
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

maybe you dont have a big enough stomach or any love handles to lose, sometimes our eyes are bigger than anything.
