I’ve been an atheistic Satanist for about 25 years. I’ve been told numerous times that I *must* be processed by a demon.

I’m even tempered and very honest. I’ve been faithful to the same woman for over 20 years. I am a good neighbor. I don’t abuse any sort of drugs. I tutor middle and high school kids in math and science. I don’t even swear much.

So what would be a significant sign that I am demon processed and what would be the affect or having said “demon” removed?

bah! everyone says you can't be an atheistic satanist, well you can!

You simply don't believe in god but stand for the morals of LaVeyan Satanism.

I say this because i am an atheist and i visited the Christan site, looked at 11 rules of Satanism, agreed wholeheartedly with them! So, I might not belong to the Church of Satan, but i belive in their morals

now if you want a test to find out if you demonically possessed take an insanity quiz of some sort, Christians think its the same thing :P

Being possessed by a demon would be obvious to those around you if you did nasty things. You don't, apparently, so what's the problem?

I'm curious about the designation "atheistic Satanist." Is that someone who just plays with Satanic symbols and rituals, but does not believe they are real?

I often wondered just how serious we should take Anton LeVey and his Church of Satan. Was he just having a joke on us, using it as a thin cover for an uninhibited sexuality?

"Atheistic" Satanist? Is that a new breed, satan created to zap out his competition? I have been a satanist, and now am of the Lord in heaven, and you sound pretty rational to me, except for your "inconsistancies." How can you say you may be demon "processed" (possessed) if your behaviors "here" are not those of someone possessed? There is something you left out here you feel guilt over, and only you know what that is to make you feel the devil may be at the root of the behavior. Only God in heaven and "you" can take care of whatever it "is."

By "atheistic Satanist" I'll assume you mean a hedonistic satanist and not one who worships Satan per se--rather, someone who glorifies hedonism as an end in itself. While I can't "convince" you of the truth of the Bible, I can point out what the Bible says about demon possession. Since it would be difficult to persuade a non-theist that there is a spiritual reality, I'll point to what the Bible says and let it speak for itself--if what the Bible says about demon possession correlates with characteristics in your own life, you might consider the merit of the Bible's message. As for removing any demonic influences in your life, assuming you would at some point acknowledge and accept the message of the Bible, you would be wise to rid your life of anything that could give demons a foothold in your life--but the only way to resist demons and satanic influences is by drawing near to God, and the only way to draw near to God is to resist Satan. (James 4:7-8)

How can you be atheistic AND Satanist? In other words, you disbelieve the whole God thing, but accept the "evil" part of the Christian story?

I think you're a bit confused.

But finding out if you're posessed is easy! It works the same way as finding out if God exists: just take a deep breath and say, "Hello, demon (or God)! Do you exist?"

If there is no answer, there is no demon! Same as God.

If you can except the concept of a demon is it possible you could except the idea of a perfect just and loving creator? If you can get your mind around that then the test is simple. Drop to your knees praise Him for His goodness and justice and mercy ask Him for release from the oppression you are feeling and for Him to make you His child.. Jim

To be demon possessed is to be possessed by evil influences. Even though you do some good things your hearts has to be evil. In other words, the things in your thoughts, are they evil or are they good?. Do you see good in people or simple reconigtion for yourself. And if you were to die tonight, is your heart right with God.

Put your hands in Holy Water at a Church and touch the cross. If you have a reaction go to the Catholic to get an Exorcism.

Atheistic Satanist????

No such beast.

Mixing contradictory ideologies is like mixing Vodka and Whiskey. It feels good at first, but you'll eventually end up with a whanging headache.
