spiritual buddhists: light incense until you vomit, if they invite you to have dinner, they will serve only soya things and tell you how bad it is for your spirit to eat meat.
spiritual christians: crosses hanging from walls, posters with jesus loves you, bibles on the table. If they invite you to dinner you have to pray before eating (after and meanwhile for the most spirituals of them all).
spiritual spiritual: houses full of books about spirituality, things brought from the tibet, posters of the dalai lama

is not that i dont like it is only that i dont believe it...spirituality is something from the inside, the true spiritual person doesnt sorround himself/herself with material things, doesnt place his/her spirituality upon objects that may be lost, broken or anything...if they disappear then what happen to their spirituality??? is gone as well? repalced by new objects???

i dont believe that whoever decorates his house according to their beliefs is doing so for himself...it is evident he is doing it to show. People need these decorations just to feel members of something, an being a member doesnt imply being tru to oneself but to the community they want to belong to...so spirituality??? my a-s-s-s-s-s-s

Maybe because you surround yourself in your own home with things that bring you comfort.
Christians are increasingly prevented from expressing their faith with pictures, posters, etc in the work place, schools, etc. they should be allowed to express themselves however they wish in their own home. If it disturbs you then maybe you should not visit.
**If it reminds them of their faith I think it can be considered spiritual. If I am standing in a room with a cross on the wall, I think of Jesus. If as a reminder it increases our consideration of our Lord, then I think it can be classified as spiritual.
**I don't think it is considered a replacement or amplification of their faith, that would fall under idolotry. It is more of a reminder and an expression of feelings that are inside. Objects do affect emotions and spiritual feelings. That is why churches are not painted black or decorated in skulls. Color and shape evoke feelings, the objects help the person to keep these feelings at the surface. It may even be a reminder to avoid certain temptations, like a picture of a thin woman on the fridge door. I find people curse less when a Bible is on the coffee table or a cross or spiritual poem is on the wall. It could be coincidence but I think the sight makes them think a moment before speaking.

Because you want to express what you believe and have other people join in what you believe. As a Christian, I do the spiritual Christan stuff all the time without noticing. It becomes a custom and I want other people to join in what I'm don't so they can become christians as well. Maybe go to a bunch of different churches of different religions to find out. You don't have to believe what all of them are saying, but maybe you can find a religion that is right for you. Once you do, it will be easier to understand.
Hope this helps!

If you're talking about why people get all ranty and ravy over something: I think it's for the same reasons why somebody will get into a favorite new rock band, then won't shut up about it. They're all cases of solipsism, which includes thinking that whatever thing has pleased them must also be a pleasure to everybody else too. I do know that feeling of finding something that's very moving and special and wanting to share that with others, but sometimes you need to face reality.
[EDIT: I just realize you clarified your question]
I believe people have the full right to decorate their homes in the environment they want. If you don't like it, don't visit them. Using the music analogy again: I know that my favorite bands come down to just hearing, but if I like something, I might like looking at the whole aesthetic of it. Humans have always loved using symbols to express inner feelings.

I am a spiritual person, i do not cram my beliefs down peoples throats. But Since it is my home i shall decorate it as i please....
I have many spititual books, that were bought for me...if someone asks to borrow them i will lend them...i have many wiccan things and paintings, i have a pentacle on my front door, but this is how i choose to decorate my home...I do it because being surrounded by these things makes ME feel good, no other reason!
Blessings!

So I need to remove the cross from my wall and the Bible from my coffee table just because you're coming over for dinner? I pray before my meals - that's what we do in MY house. If you don't in your house, I wouldn't expect to do it when I come to YOUR house for dinner. Nor would I expect to find a Bible on your table or a cross on your wall. Religious beliefs become a way of life - if you're in my house, expect to notice it. It's not for your benefit or to show off - it's for MY benefit.

I think that people like to be around things that remind them of what they love. People who love pugs have pug calendars and put pug bumperstickers on their cars. Fans of Nascar may display posters of their favorite drivers and models of their favorite cars. The same is true with religious and spiritual people.

You are talking about things in their own homes. It's not so much showing it to others, as surrounding themselves with things that matter to them in their personal space. I can't imagine why you object. If you don't like it, don't accept invitations from them.

People decorate their homes with things from their faith to make them feel comfortable-nothing wrong with that.
If their faith means that eating meat is wrong or saying prayers before eating is right-how does that hurt you?

Why do people who love their family put pictures of them on their work desks?
I fail to see why religious people shouldn't show their religion. It's part of who we are. It's not something we can "turn off."
