As long as you don't use the gell kind nor the whitening kind, it dries it up, takes away some of the redness, and also helps the swelling (if any). But I would not recommend doing this on more than one zit, for when you dry them up it makes your skin more prone to more zits. If its for just one, thats great. If you have a bunch, don't touch your face and moisterize a lot for about a week and it should start clearing up, just don't let it dry out. It will break out a lot at first but thats just your skin getting rid of the stuff under the surface.

it works but i only use it when i have a huge one that just wont go away. i wouldnt use them for small ones, because the toothpaste isnt good for your skin because it dries it out. so only use it for emergencies =) and you just keep it on, yea you could probably sleep with it and then wash your face in the morning. put on enough so that the zit is covered with the toothpaste, but not too much.

As a teen I remember trying that. It did not work for me. Avon Clearskin did wonders. Not expensive and works well if you follow the directions.
Belive me I tried everything usually overnight, noxema, preparation h, (LOL) and toothpaste.
Oh another thing that works wonders is to wash your face twice a day to prevent getting them
Wash, Apply Astrigent, and medication on any zit you get. Apply a mask once a week and if you still have some problems, rubbing ice on your face after you clean it helps tighten the pores and also helped me wonders. My acne finally went away after using ice and cleaning my face regularly.

i know someone who used toothpaste on pimples before and when it healed, it left a scar. just put antibiotic ointments on your pimple to make it heal faster, that's what i do.

NO, NO, NO! you should never put toothpaste on your pimples! toothpaste is made for whitning, and it will make your pimple redder.
