i know that allah translates as god, but there is a major difference between allah as "god" (just any old god) and allah as "God"..............(the God of abraham, issac, and jacob)
so allah translating as "god" doesn't mean they are referring to THE "God"........or is it?
im pretty sure that jews call "God" jehovah, correct me if i am wrong, i am pretty sure that that the christian "God" and the jewish "jehovah" is the same being..........though its different since jews don't believe in Jesus Christ, and "God" is the father, the son (Jesus), and the holy spirit ALL IN ONE, so it makes you wonder.................
so is "allah" the same "being" as "God" (christian father) or is he just a "god"...........
also, i heard that christians, jews, and muslims agree on the old testament but disagree on the new testament, is that true? is there any sim/diff between the bible, torah, and q'uran? do they all have the same old testament?
and please, no long answers!

He is a specific God.
In Arabic culture, "Allah" means "God" because "Allah" is who they deem God to be. Same thing in Israel. "Elohim" means "God", but Elohim is also the name of a specific God, the God of the Bible, named, well, Elohim!
Allah is not Elohim, and Elohim is not Allah. They are two distinct Gods belonging to two different cultures.

The word "Allah" is simply the Arabic word for Almighty God, and is the same word used by Arabic speaking Christians and Jews. If one were to pick up an Arabic translation of the Bible, one would see the word "Allah" being use where the word "God" is used in English. Actually, the Arabic word for Almighty God, "Allah", is quite similiar to the word for God in other Semitic languages — for example, the Hebrew word for God is "Elah". For various reasons, some non-Muslims mistakenly believe that Muslims worship a different God than Jews and Christians. This is certainly not the case, since the Pure Monotheism of Islam calls all people to the worship of the God of Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and all of the other prophets. However, even though Jews, Christians and Muslims worship the same God — since there is only one God — their concepts concerning Him differ in some significant ways.
Muslims believe in GOD(in arabic Allah), the Supreme and Eternal, Infinite and Mighty, Merciful and Compassionate, The Creator and The Provider, He begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none equal or comparable unto Him.
Islam is the only religion which recognizes and believes that all the prophets brought the same essential message This message was, still and will be the belief in and submission to ONE God (the Creator and the Sustainer of all things, the Exalted and the Redeemer of all things. The word Islam itself means "submission and surrendering" to God

The muslims say Allah and we as Christians say many names for the creator. The difference between us is that we believe in the teachings of Christ. They believe in the teachings of Mohammad. Mohammad agreed that Jesus was sent of God just as we do. We most certainly refer to the same creator. Yes, the Jews, Christians and muslims all refer to the supreme creator in a variety of names. Of course there is one narrow path and many have not found it. Not going to bash here. ;-)

i presumed the argument in case you enable a guy marry a guy, then next you are able to enable a guy marry an animal, or have marriages with better than 2 companions. the 1st one is bogus as an animal won't be able to assert provide consent via asserting "I do". The latter has been part of Muslim and Mormon custom for generations, however that's outlawed in the Western international locations in the present day. whether the phobia and jealousy in touch with a husband taking yet another, youthful, prettier spouse is a project of many females. looking a thank you to make it criminal and ordinary via possibly a non secular community is a as a result needless to say a project. it fairly is a manipulatively worded argument to make females associate gay marriages with a sort to permit bigamous marriages and thereby play on their insecurities.

It means The God. That means in the Islamic religion, they only think of Jesus as a prophet, not the son of God. So The God means no one but Him. No holy ghost or Christ.

It depends upon your point of view...
If you're Muslim the answer is yes.
If you're Christian or Jewish the answer is no.
Devout Jews do not speak the name of God (YHWH) and in the written language you will notice that when they use the word God it will usually be written G-d.

Allah means God in Arabic. God is a title. There are many different definitions, but Islam, Judaism, and Christianity all believe in the same God.

Allah is a false understanding of the True God, and therefore allah does not exist just as Hindu Idols do not exist. There are clear differences theologically speaking.
Allah has the potential and ability to lie and to be unjust. Allah is nothing more than an idol.
YHWY (the God of the Bible and the true God) can Not lie and Must be Just in all things.

allah is nothing! it does not exist. back in the day (and a bad day it was too) mohammad took the name of a supposed "moon god" and shortened it. he convinced the poor dumb ppl that this "allah" was the only god rather than the nearly 900 gods the ppl were worshiping. he also convinced them that he was this "god's" only spokesperson. how convenient!!!
The GOD of the Christians and The Jews is the same GOD. There will come a day when the rest of the Jews (other than the Messianic Jews) will accept Christ.

Allah is not the God of the Bible. There is only one God. You can general agreement about the OT between Christians and Jews, but not the Muslims. Society wants us to water down who God is so nobody is "offended" and everybody is happy and comfortable. The God of the Bible is offensive at first, because He convicts us of our sinfulness. ["Me? A sinner? Harumph"] Once we come to grips with our sinfulness, we can see the love and mercy of God more clearly, because we know we need love and mercy.
