I never gave my full heart to God. I was in the process of being saved but I was never saved. If you believe that God does not punish people, DO NOT reply to this question.

God doesn't turn away from people; God is a constant, unwavering Being. What I think you're experiencing is maybe that the religious views of those around you aren't meeting your needs, and that's okay. A lot of times, these periods of confusion and feeling "lost" are invitations to revelations that give your beliefs greater strength than ever before. If I were you, I'd go to the library or a bookstore and read as much as I could about people who have felt themselves in similar situations. I'd also keep a journal or something to make myself as aware as possible of my feelings.
Don't give up. Looking for God = Finding God.

You say the Lord has hidden his face from you. The ONLY reason He would do that is if you have sin in your life. I suggest you think about what happened before the Lord hid His face from you and if you can't remember whether or not you've sinned, ask for forgiveness for whatever you may have done to offend him. God loves us all and wants to bless you, but that won't happen until you get things right with the Almighty.

The one thing I can tell you from the Lord, is that He loves you, precious one. He does punish the ones whom He loves so that they will turn from their sin... but He also completely forgives and forgets our sins when we ask for forgiveness.

I would first ask what did you think you have done to separate yourself from God? The bible tells us that no one can snatch us out of His hand if we were truly HIS to begin with....Have you given your whole heart to HIM? His word tells us that neither height nor depth, nor principalities nor thrones, nor can anything present nor to come, can separate us from His love. But you could have walked away from Him.
