try talking in a scottish accent. flick your tongue around your mouth like crazy, and say:
"tha' wurrum burrow'd daep innu th' geroond.
(The worm burrowed deep into the ground)
to roll the 'r', I usually practice by beginning to breathe out my mouth. then slowly, move your tongue to the roof of your mouth and make a 'd' sound. that is closer than an r sound in english to a rolled r in gaelic or spanish.

That was a bad explanation I had previously, it's difficult to explain.
Just put your tongue on the roof of your mouth and exhale. Relax your tongue so you're not forcing it onto the roof, but it should keep hitting the roof of yoru mouth as you do it.

did you ever see the commercial for the "rolling writer pentel pen"? its a matter of positioning your toungue on the top of behind your teeth and not feeling silly... :)

u press the tip of your tounge to the line were u gums and ur teeth meet and u pretty much try vibratung you tounge
