Well, "cheap" is in the eye of the beholder. Check with an obstetrician in a major city, their e&o could run six figures.

There are TONS of different kinds of e&o coverage. Are you an attorney, looking for attorney professional? Vetrinarian? Architect? Computer consultant? The CLASS of business is very important, as is the gross sales, and the NUMBER of professionals you're covering. "Consultant" means nothing. What KIND of consultant means everything. Whatever KIND of consultant you are, you'll have a special application to fill out.

MOST e&o carriers ALSO want you to carry general liability.

You're going to have to contact a local independent agent, to get a quote for this.

If you are looking for E&O Insurance for your agency, best way may be to join some sort of independent agents association within your state. Most will have contact or agreements w/ E&O insurance companies that can give you discounts for being a member of that independent agents association. One thing is for certain, it's not going to be cheap.

If you are in the insurance business, you must have sources. Start with the company you represent and ask them who they recommend. Or go to one of the large brokerage houses.
