No. Of course it's not true. However, peanut butter (unless you have nut allergies) is an easily assimiliated good source of protein and a good staple to keep on hand when your energy gets low.

No not really. You can actually gain bodyfat from almost any kind of food, if you eat enough of it, and if you don't get sick first.

Peanut butter is high in fat calories, which has double the amount of carb or protein calories (9 calories per gram as opposed to 4 calories per gram), and although peanut fat is good fat, it's still high in calories. Also, some peanut butter brands add hydrogenated oils and sugar, which ups the calorie content even more.

No, peanut butter will get you fat. Sylvester Stallone used to eat peanut butter every day in order to get fat for his role as an overweight character in the movie "Cop Land".

no..it is not true.

while peanuts are a great source of healthy fats and omega 6 fatty acids an excess of pb can certainly cause an increase in fat gain.

in terms of energy conversion. it takes very little energy for the body to convert an excess of dietary fats to lipids that will be stored in fat cells.
