This prob seems very weird but I dont know why or what is going on. I have always been a Christian. I have prayed to the Lord every night since I was a child. I have always believed in him and leaned on him in bad times. But for the past few weeks I have almost been questioning my religion. I have become overly obsessed witht he creation of the world, earth, universe, and how we even got here. I have been constantly reading about outer space till it scares me to think about such a vast space and how small we are to that. I have been thinking about what really happens when we die and I dont know why!!!! I dont like feeling this way and I dont like questioning God. But this is all I can think about every minute of the day. What is going on with me??

I just want to add that I think alot of this is happening bc I keep looking at all the bad things going on in the world. Then talking about an asteroid might hit us. I just start to worry until it is out of control and just wander why these things are even happening.

You're normal. Everyone goes through a pewriod of that from time to time throughout our lifetime.
It will go away. I promise. Those thoughts and fear of death will resurface again though years later.

Everyone experiences the paniced feeling we get when we start worrying about what happens to us when we die. We usually dwell on it for quite some time, then it goes away.

It's just that most people never mention it because they're afraid of the same thing you were. Afraid that they might be crazy and others would think so too.

I'm betting a lot of people on here will be relieved you asked this question because they feel or have felt the same way.

I think it's always a good thing to question all the stuff that goes on around you. Don't just blindly accept things and keep looking for your own answers. It's a great, big universe and there is still so much we have no clue about. It wasn't too long ago some people thought the earth was flat. I think we're supposed to learn from our mistakes.

its perfectly natural to be having these thoughts. i mean, if you thought the same thing about religion ever since you were little and didn't EVER question it, it would be...like...programmed into your mind...does that make sense? hmm well anyways theres nothing wrong with re-thinking over some stuff. maybe it is weird for you right now, and maybe you'll never be completely sure of what you think about God and creation and all that stuff. I have a feeling that given some time, you won't be thinking about it constantly. try waiting it out and see if it helps

I get like that sometimes,I don't know why.I am also a Christian.I think people go through things like this because we are being tested.God has a plan for all of us and our faith in him is always being tested everyday. So when I get that way I just try to stop thinking about it because God put us all on this earth for a reason.Just keep believing because he will take care of you. When I was younger I used to have this fixation on aliens and if they were real, but my mom always told me that the devil does thing to trick you,to keep you from believing in God.Just keep your faith.I hope this helps you.Nothing is wrong with you and your not alone ,a lot of people go through this including me.

Nothing. This could be (1) Temptation by the devil (2) God testing your faith. But you are not always a Christian, you must confess your sins and ask God to cleanse you of your sins and come into your heart. Mabey you aren't really a Christian. You should trust God, through this He will make your faith in Him stronger.

Best of Luck

I have been through this and it lasted about 3 months. Its really not easy. I know that we are all faced with challenges through out our life. Be true to God and you will get through this. We will all been thrown challenges that make us question our beliefs but only the true believers will star true. Im reallly not trying to be corny with this, I am 100% serious. We can not explain how electricity works but yet it is there and we dont question it. God is there for you and help you work through this. I will be praying for you. IT WILL ALL WORK OUT!!!

These questions have not only been asked by you but I have asked them, your parents have asked them , everyone has asked those same questions. It's not the question it's the answers that you are going to get. be very selective who you ask, this is what can leave a lasting impression on you, perhaps send you in the wrong direction. Get with the youth pastor at your church.

this doesnt make you weird, it makes you human. May you find the answers you want during this search! Everyone should search their souls like you are doing, you should be questioning things. Just dont be scared if you find an answer you didnt want to find. Remember if "God" has helped comfort you then that is good, if you need more than this belief, then take the time to find what you need.

Perhaps God is asking you to pray for the true religion to find you. Ask a Jehovah's Witness, they have all these answers that you are searching for.

You aren't weird at all. You are intelligent, thoughtful, inquisitive, and interested in the meaning of life.
Questioning is only feared by those who cannot admit that they may not have all the answers.
