For example I have a 1 gigabite SD card and I take pictures, then I download the photos to CDs or my PC, suppose I download all photos and then delete them from the card. Do I still have 1 Gigabite of memory to use again?

Well- this was one of the easier questions to answer.

you can 1. delete them either with your computer.
Or- 2. you can delete the photos one by one or in a group with the camera in the play mode.
Or- 3. you can go into the setup mode and 'format' the card, which will wipe it clean.

Once you downloaded all photos and request to delete them after the download, the card will be empty. Meaning, you will have I Gig worth photos to save.

If you delete all the photos from the card, it becomes empty. You will have your 1GB back again to store more pics.
