Well, I know what you think is going on. The same thing I think. The supervisor is taking the tips. Have you talked to the other maids and see if this same thing is happening to them? If so, you all need to band together and go over her head to her boss. If you all don't, this won't stop. If you are not going to go to her boss, then you need to look for another job where you will get your tips.

They should allow them to go and check each room that has been checked out to see if they have any tips left for them. The Supervisor should not be allow to go in the rooms til the housekeeper are done with the room. That is the right think to do. Besides supervisors should not be allow until the housekeeper are done with the room.

Perhaps your supervisor has made up this rule so as to steal your tips. You should check with a sympathetic member of management to ask if there is any new rule

Tell her to go to hell!!! she is stealing your tips,I know this for a fact because I caught many supervisors doing the samething after we left tips and set them up to see what they would do., and they out right stole the tips from the house keepers because they knew they were to stupid to do anything about it or afraid they would lose their job if they said anything about it to anybody.

Tell your supervisor's supervisor.
Most state has a whistleblower protection law. If you are treated unfairly after reporting your supervisor, contact an attorney.

Sounds like someone is stealing tips.

I would report her to her supervisor.
