I think to order food off of a senior citizen menu you only need to be 55 years old. So 55. Retirement is usually 65.

For the purpose of banks to avail higher interest rate for senior citizens, senior citizen is defined as a person above the age of 62. In Railways, it is 60. For medical insurance, it is 55.

Generally it is 65 all over the world. In India it is 65 for many of the official purposes, excepting in Indian Railways it is 60. But i feel there is scope for a lot of improvement in this area, in India.

No clear answer. Generally considered to be 65 because that is when full Social Security pension kicks in, but AARP lets you join at 50, senior food program kicks in at 60, etc.
