I have thick wavy hair, and Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine works wonders.

I have curly hair also and it tends to be the opposite of soft. I just bought Frizz-Ease, Curl Around shampoo and conditioner from the John Frieda Collection. I also got the Frizz-Ease Thermal Protection Hair Serum (you only need a *tiny* amount). I LOVE this collection-- best I've ever had. My hair is silky soft and frizz is almost non-exsistant. Seriously.

I'd try it. Works wonders for my hair. Hope it works for yours!

I have FruitKicks (it doesn't matter which scent) shampoo and conditioner. I don't personally own it but i have seen FruitKicks for Dry Hair. it would definitely work for your problem. Also, my friend had the same problem, so I reccomended it to her and her hair now always has really nice texture to it.

I use Wella color preserve... It smoothes out frizz, adds a ton of moisture, and maintains color... I also love anything by Matrix or Joico.

The reason Pantene dries out your hair is because it's only a wax coating on your hair that makes it "feel soft" but it isn't giving you any moisture. Use one of the brands I listed above or anything from a salon-type store. It's a little more expensive but I promise you, it's worth it. :o)

I use Biolage smoothing shampoo and conditioner. It smells good and makes my hair shiny, smooth, and soft. Although you can only get it at salons and it's pretty expensive.
