Some moms call their baby boy "mi rey"?

I had no idea, so I checked in my "Larousse" (dictionary) and there is no 3-letter word in Spanish for baby boy.
Do you wanna´ try for "bebé" or "guagua" or "nene"--obviously, none of 3 letters?

i can only think of "tío" but that is very informal way of addressing a guy
