I think that is a fine weight for you and if you are happy with the way you look the numbers on the scale should not matter. Eat reasonably and exercise regularly and you should not worry. It is not about body weight it is about lean body mass. You should take care of your body by eating the right things but do not cut out things that you love just eat them in MODERATION! Although i am not six feet tall i do know that...

you should try this it might help you get a better "medical" point of view

Don't go by weight. The amount you weigh is really useless. Really, you should go by how you feel. You know if you are a healthy weight or not.

If you want a number to go by, get one of those fancy scales they sell at Sports Authority or something that measures your % body fat. That is so much more important than weight. The scales aren't that expensive, and it really gives you a much healthier number to rate yourself by. Especially because you are a tall person, and the number on a traditional scale might seem scary.

Don't listen to any of those politically correct douchebags. 175 is too heavy if you're a woman, even a six-foot tall one.

If you did a lot of exercise, trimmed the fat and most of your body weight was muscle (which weighs more than fat), you would be considered ideal anywhere between 155 and 165.

2 to 2.5 lbs per height in inches. So Iam 5ft 6 inches which equals 66 inches. I should weigh between 132 lbs and 165 lbs. 66 x 2 = 132 and 66 x 2.5 = 165.

You sound really well-proportioned and at a good weight. To give you a reference, Tyra Banks (curvy, gorgeous, wish I looked like that) is 5'10" and (she says) 165 pounds. You sound right on track, just keep eating well and getting regular exercise to make sure you're as fit as can be!

Your ideal body weight should be with a median of 160.
This will fall in a range of + or - 10 percent.
So range is 144- 176.
