Our child is 1 1/2 and our possible route is a train from Cambridge to King's Cross, the tube to Waterloo station, the Channel Tunnel train into Paris, then a taxi in Paris. I don't really want to take the car seat, will it be required? Any tips greatly appreciated ;)

uk trains don't require car seats - they just have standard adult-sized seats, your child can sit on the seat or your lap... taxi-wise up to you
