I think this is really common - and the best advice is not to shave - the red bumps are hairs getting caught beneath the surface of the skin, usually as they're curly. I've used various creams and lotions for shaving rash/ingrown hairs - but the benefits are limited. I found the best option was to let the skin heal completely by stopping shaving, then being waxed by a professional - you'll love the results and never look back.

I use hair conditioner when I shave instead of soap or shaving cream. I leave it on for about 2 minutes before I razor. It softens the hair and skin. I also shave everyday so my skin is used to it and is less likely to give me razor bumps.

Yes I get that too its so annoying and spoils the whole look. I'm thinking now of a total wax job it last longer and no spots, just need to pluck up the courage!!!!
