He puts a lot of focus on material things, like his car and the way he dresses. He is very concerned about what others thinks of him and thats why he puts all this focus on this things to prove to others that he is worthy.

He is is all of the following:

Possessive-
controlling
clutches at you
manipulative
easily angered
gets aggressive with you
demands that you give him
all of your time and
you attention
Asks about everything that
you have been doing.
Asks who you have been
with.
Asks where you have been.
Asks about previous boyfriends
wants to know that he is better
than them in bed.
Gets angry if another guy even
comes around you, even if
it is a harmless friendship.
Calls constantly even if you were
just with him.
Does not want you to spend time
with your friends, tries to cut
you off from them.
Does not want you to go out
with your friends.
Checks your cell phone for
other guys numbers.
snoops in your things.

You can not change some one who is like this. Generally they can become abusive if you do not go along with every thing that they want you to do. They will often stalk you if you dump them. If that happens, cut off all communication compleatly. Do not speak with him, no matter what. Even if he says he just needs to talk with you one more time, one more time will never be enough for them.

Remember every contact that they make with you will mean that they will stalk you for another 6 months. You can not even talk with them on the phone as it works the same way no matter what.

Usually jealousy and trust issues play a large role in a mans insecurity. They tend to be controling, and tempermental as well. It is really important that you address his insecurities, and urge him to talk about what is making him feel this way. I assure you that if you dont stay on top of this matter, it is going to lead to a very unhappy relationship.

There are several. Money issues! Self-worth! Feelings of being left out. Jealousy. Self-doubt! Thinking that he doesn't matter to anyone. Being put down alot! Being treated like a paycheck instead of a person. Being used by anyone! Being treated only like a friend and not as a romantic partner by who he dates. By being told he is a nice guy, but that you are looking for something else. by not being invited to events and gatherings. By being lied to constantly. By being passed over for promotion or for raises. By being always told that someone is better or wealthier or livelier or more manly. I can go on and on here, but you get the picture.

Controlling. Constantly questioning if ur cheating. Have to always prove himself by getting physical with others. Instead of admiting he is afraid, he'll deflect and place it on someone else. Puts other ppl down for reason that don't make sense.

insecurity... definitely being jealous, asking too many questions all the time, shyness, normally a physical attitude (ex: arms crossed over all the time, covering face while talking, scratching a lot or maybe hands in pockets for long time) too many worries, etc hope i helped ;)

If he gets on the defensive all the time. Usually for no good reason. Or if he apologises for a shirt he's wearing for no good reason. Like , "I know this shirt is out of style, but...."
Or if he asks you if he's fat. (That's a girl's issue.)

Wanting to spend too much time with you, buys many expensive gifts, asking you to tell him you love him, early in a relationship, he expresses his love, calls too often, etc.

if they say things like "real men ........" or if they are constantly making fun of other people, or if they are constantly worried about being popular or perfect. And if they make up lie stories that make them seem awesome.
