I could believe this, but I don't. I am a Christian but highly doubt that the Savior will return soon at all.
Modern Christians say that his return will be soon based upon the wickedness of the world in contemporary times.
After studying history I have come to the conclusion that the modern world is no more wicked than at any other time. If you don't believe me, study history. Hitler killed six million Jews in a war that killed SIXTY MILLION people. Stalin went on to murder millions of his own people.
Study the viking culture. Study in general. It doesn't take long to see that many behaviors and practices against traditional christian morals have always existed and arguably in the same quantity as the present. The only difference is every person in the country now has access news that fifty years ago would never have been public.
here is some food for thought to make Christians happy:
1) The divorce rate in America has been dropping steadily since 1981.
2) Spouse abuse has been dropping steadily since the 1950's
3) Drug abuse is o1/3 now what it was in 1970.
The world is not near wicked enough to cause the return of Christ.
Live your lives. Obey the commandments. Be happy.

People who believe this, generally belong to a subset of Protestantism called Dispensationalism. They support the doctrine of a "Pre-tribulation rapture" that was first promulgated by John Nelson Darby and his followers. Dallas Theological Seminary and Moody Institute are the prime movers in this area; they don't like to be called Darbyites, because that implies that they're following a human doctrine instead of Scripture -- but Darbyites is what they are.
There was no hint of this doctrinal stance until the early-mid 1800's. They don't want to admit that, but it's true. This doctrine was not held by any of the Apostles, nor by the early churches in the 1st century.
To understand what they're talking about, check Wikipedia under "Rapture", "MIllennialism" and/or "Dispensationalism". You might also look up John Nelson Darby.
The rest of Christianity does not generally accept this view of the end times. Most Christians in the world are amillenial.

Its normal, people yearn for God. Even as children, we all hoped that Father would show up and save us if we got into trouble.
God is the Father of us all, so yes, its easy to get people to believe that the end of days is near when so many things seem to be wrong in the world.
Prophecy states that certain things must happen first, and they are happening. Yes, those books of the Bible that were bound until the end of time, are actually coming true.

NO, because jesus does not exist..jesus is a made up being to make people believe in something good, so when they die they will think they are going to heaven which also does not exist......and that is why people believe in god or jesus..
